We’re accessibility specialists.
And because of that, we are engaged by a lot of clients for user experience consulting, training, or web design and development with a specific accessibility focus. It’s part of everything we do.
That experience has taken our founder, Derek Featherstone around the world (a few times!). Derek has delivered a huge number of virtual seminars, workshops and conference talks to audiences big and small. Without question, one thing that you, the audience, always love is the questions and answers part of the talk—so much so, that it usually spills over into the hallways, restaurants and parties after the session. You want to sit and talk shop and talk about what’s on your agenda.
These conferences and workshops only happen a few times a year though. And they’re often at events that you just can’t get to because of distance, time or budget.
Our Monthly Q&A Call
Here’s how our monthly Q&A call works: as a subscriber, you get to submit your accessibility questions and scenarios to us. We compile those, look for common threads and put them together into a package that we deliver via a live Q&A call every month. You can be there on the live call even if you don’t submit questions—you can simply soak up all the accessibility goodness from the call. It’s like a live, on demand virtual seminar that you created.
After the fact, you’ll get access to a recording of the call, a full transcript and any slides or example materials we’ve prepared for that month’s session. If you can’t make it to the live call, no problem—you’ll have the full archive available to you for download so you can keep it and refer back to it later.
Is this right for me?
This subscription is perfect for the freelancer, the accessibility practitioner or the seasoned web developer and designer who needs an affordable way to to learn more about the nuts and bolts of making web sites and applications accessible.
Conferences are wonderful learning opportunities. But if you’re like most freelancers or web team members, you can’t afford to go to many or any at all for that matter. The thing is, not having the budget doesn’t make the need to learn more about accessibility go away.
If you work in the accessibility field, you know that there is a LOT to keep up with and that you can’t do it all. While you’re evangelizing to your internal teams, you need to be ahead of the game to know what works now, what’s coming in the future and how to solve some of your team’s very specific accessibility problems. They look to you for guidance. Who do you turn to?
Our monthly Q&A call brings our consulting expertise to you for a very low monthly subscription.
